im guessing most people that got the email from iron triangle involving gm and the TRADE, for one iron triangle i do agree that gm thought he was giving up his 5th round pick and not his 1st, but in the back of my head i also thought maybe he knew exactly what he was doing....his track record speaks for itself, i would be surprised if gm had ever won a BASEBALL TITLE with some of the trades he makes and i was calling it out last season, there were a few teams who finished at the top last season and are in very good position this season due to some of the trades he has made. Dont get me wrong as far as competitive spirit and fun gm is top notch, but when someone is bragging about how many trades they are making trying to keep piling them up it makes you wonder what the end goal is(to win a title or to win sportsman of the yr. i feel the integrity of the league was compromised last yr, and if you look at his keepers, krod, papelbon, c lee and cruz i mean u scratch your head a little, how do u get left with that. just my opinion and i am super competitive that's why i joined this league but if u really look at the player rater papelbon is preseason number 74 ranked which is higher or better than gm 1st pick, so did he make a mistake or is he back peddling. I got nothing but love for u gm and iron triangle (who if i can remember correctly was involved in a couple trades with gm last yr and if not shame on me) and i respect the fact that u iron triangle would take the time to stand up for another player but i just cant say after all of that, that gm didnt no or thought he new what he was doing

im guessing most people that got the email from iron triangle involving gm and the TRADE but i just cant say after all of that, that gm didnt no or thought he new what he was doing The trade was clearly stated in the original email (dated 1/5) between BEER and GM and the Commish as "traded jonathan papelbon to greenmonsters for his 5th round pick(1st pick)"The two parties involved left no room for error from the beginning and so I don't know how there can be any confusion on the deal. I also don't understand why other teams were involved. Unless GM or BEER bring up the issue to me, I consider this subject closed. Thanks, Commish PS - thank you Honey Nut for not taking sides and keeping it professional.

I think GM has accepted the fact he made a mistake and its all water under the bridge now. I have to say one thing about GM, he is in our basketball league and he has made tons or trades like he does and he actually has gotten a better team out of the deals...IMO....No, he isn't in first place or anything, but he's learning I think from mistakes. I think as seasons go along, he will learn and be very competive...I mean look at Joe last season, we all know he knows what he is doing, but look at where he finished.....(seems he dont need trades to suck...HAHA) Just like this season in basketball...Commish your in what....16th of 18th place, GM is 12th of 18....so trading works for some and not for others....I think overall, It COULD NOT be a better ran league. NOTE: People used in these examples have no relationship to the REAL players that are losers in our leagues...the names HAVE remained the same to protect the winner...

I just wanted to take a second and address this "controversy" First off I want to say that I absolutely love playing in these leagues, and to Joe and all the other managers I say thank you. And to Iron Triangle, I'm not going to post anything on this forum about the e-mail you sent me, other than check your facts before you unleash a personal attack on someone's character. Do I have any ill-will towards you, absolutely not and I wish you the best of luck this season and in the future. As for the trade, I thought it was stated very clearly in the e-mail and maybe I was wrong. I never responded to this "issue" because commish said it was a done deal and I didnt feel the need to rock the boat. If GM truly feels that this was an unfair trade then we can reverse it. I'm here to compete and have fun, not screw anyone over. In my opinion, Papelbon is definitely a top 80 talent so a pick outside of that, such as the first rd pick was a very fair deal, while a 5th(9th rd) pick would not be a trade I would make. Again, I definitely didnt mean to cause any controversy, just looking forward to a competitive season in the best leagues I've ever been involved in. And to Joe, if giving the pick back is your ruling, I am totally fine with that and will support whatever decision you feel is best for the league. Thanks guys, BEERMAKERSFAN1

as a new rule...anytime there is a problem with a deal, the 3rd place finisher from the season before takes pick and then both managers get screwed, so I will take the pick and FA Papelbon. Thank you and good day
