Post Draft Scouting Report:
Jon, Head Coach of the team Cruzacs Demons volunteed to do a short assessment of each team in Pro league.
Thunder From Down Under Division This division looks to be very competitive. However, each team has an individual weakness that should be exploited by other teams. Hopefully, it's enough to get them by, and earn the big W. I've set up a small scoring system 1 - 5 on each position (D/Spc. Teams combined) and bye week complications, and given each team a total out of 25. Stimulus Package - Great starting QB makes up for backup who may not see a snap all year. Might have the best WR group in the league with lots of yards and TDs in their future. Not a whole lot to be excited about in the RB core, but two great fantasy TEs are more then enough to make up for it. Weak defensive players, mean they will need lots of points from Indy's D. Bye Week troubles are 6 and 8. Total = 20/25. Projected Divisional Finish = 1st. Oman - One good QB and TE to go along with 7 WRs! 3 Possible starting RBs however this team will probably need to make a trade or two, to ensure no glaring hole. Great defensive players will lead to lots and lots of points. This team is a couple of trades / FA acquisitions away from a divisional championship. Bye week troubles are 7,9 and 10. Total = 20/25. Projected Divisional Finish = 2nd Gang Green - Top 5 starting QB, very strong receiving corp, two great starting RBs, however Thomas Jones in questionable. Depending on who gets more touches for KC, this is a very big risk/reward player, the two other RBs may be flat out invisible this fantasy year, barring an injury. One stud TE with an injury history could be dangerous, or all they need (minus bye week) to pull off some big numbers. GREAT defensive corp. The biggest hole for this team, is bye weeks. Several players out weeks 4, 7, 8 and 9. Total = 18/25. Projected Divisional Finish = 3rd Phillips Bums - VERY dangerous QB corp, as both could be out of a job (or benched) by the trade deadline. 3 Strong WRs sould be enough to never have Cruz in the lineup. One TE stranded in Martz style offense that will overlook him on 9 out of 10 plays means he will probably be non-existant most weeks. However, this teams crushing defense should make up for these spots, and may be enough to project this team into the playoffs. Bye Week troubles are 8/9/10. Total = 15/25 Projected Divisional Finish = 4th
Monsters Of The Midway Division
As a whole, this division should remain competitive throughout the season. While one team seems to be second tier compared to the rest, there is lots of time before the beginning of the season to make the necessary moves, in order to push themselves up the ladder, and even possibly push ahead of the rest. Stankazz - BEST QB in the league leads the way for this team. 5 WRs should put up steady fantasy points to keep games close. Descent RB corp, however it's the TE who's going to have a career year and lead this team to a championship. Not to mention it's STUD defense. This will be the team to beat in the division, but I don't thinnk many will take it down. Week 9 will be a concede with 6 players out. If they can manage through week 7, they may only have 1 loss all season. Total = 20/25. Projected Divisional Finish = 1st
Zodiac Killers - Strong QB core (although I don't believe Farve could sell his soul for a duplicate of last season). 2 Strong WRs and capable backups are paired with a nice RB group that is primed to combine for 3,000 yards, and 15+ TDs will lead this team to the big game. Capable TE duo and a descent (but not stellar) D finishes off a very well rounded team. 3 spread players out in each week of 4/5/8 shouldn't kill this teams chances of a championship. Total = 19/25. Projected Divisional Finish = 2nd
Westside Bombers - One capable QB, while backup is questionable. Very weak WR corp, with 6 RBs, while only 2 will carry the load fulltime, hoepfully they can find enough ponits through the other 4 to stay competitive. Fantasy STUD at TE will bring massive points, however the defensive unit should lead this teams points race, and keep them in a close race to the finish. Bye week troubles will show weeks 4 and 8. Total = 18/25. Projected Divisional finish = 3rd Da Overpaid Convicts - A descent QB line, Cutler is in a boom or bust situation. Risky WR situation with one STUD RB, others are more then likely backups at best. TE group is a bit weak, but has the chance for good numbers. D will bring in some points for this group, however I don't believe it will be enough. While there is hope, this team needs to make a couple of moves in order to bring in enough points for some W's. Week 8 will be a disaster with 5 players out, with struggles in 9 and 10. Total = 11/25. Projected Divisional Finish = 4th
