F.A.Q.s
Q: How do I make a trade before the draft?
A: The contact info of each manager is available on this forum. You can review each team's roster and the updated draft board. All pre-draft trades must be posted on this forum and are subject to commissioner approval.
Q: What are the rules for trading players and draft picks
A: Managers should be allowed flexibility in managing their team the way they want to. Every team gets 22 rounds in the draft.
Rounds 1-5 are are used for redrafting your keepers. Rounds 6-22 are for filling out your roster using the remaining pool of available players.
You can trade player for player(s), player for draft pick, or any combination of the two. Only picks in rounds 6-22 are eligible for trading.
Q: Do I have to keep 5 players?
A: No, you may release as many as two keepers. Managers who elect to keep only 3 players will start drafting in round 4. Picks in round 4 and 5 are not eligible for trading to other managers.
Q: If I trade for extra draft picks, will I get more players on my team?
A: No, your draft will end early once you've filled your roster of 22.
Q: Can I only trade Keepers? What about the rest of my team?
A: Until March 1st, all players on your 2012 roster still belong to you. On March 1st, all players will be put back into the free agent pool, with the exception of your declared keepers.
Q: What if I change my mind about my keepers after March 1st?
A: After February 28, no adds or drops can be made to your roster. You may however continue to trade picks from round 6-22 up to the day before the draft.
Q: What about a manager who doesn't return? What happens to his players?
A: A new manager will take over the team. That manager will be allowed to trade and pick keepers from his roster.
Q: Who reviews/approves the predraft trades?
A: The Commissioner has final say, but all trades will need to be posted on this proboards site and all teams will have a chance to give feedback to the Commissioner if they feel strongly something isn't fair.
Q: Can I make trades with teams in other leagues?
A: No. Even though FLB, NABL, and C2C teams play with the same scoring format and rosters, trading is limited to teams in your league only.
Q: I wanted to make a last minute trade. Can I work out a deal with another manager to have them draft a player for me during the live draft and then trade the player to me?
A: Up to you. But it can get messy, players get disconnected, etc. so I recommend against it.
