The $5 winner-take-all games have been very popular over the years. We wanted to see if there was enough interest to offer an additional one.
Please take a minute to vote for any of the below games that you would be interested in participating in this season. Entry is only $5 and participants from all 3 leagues make up the total prize pot.
Home Run Derby: Finish the regular season with the most total Home Runs.
Strikeout Kings: Finish the regular season with the most total pitching Strikeouts.
Xtreme Pick'em: Predict the weekly matchup winners. Every correct pick is worth 1 point. Finish the season with the most correct picks.
Eliminator Challenge: Correctly pick one winning team each week. If the team you pick loses, you are eliminated. If you make a correct pick, you survive another week. The catch is you can’t pick the same team more than twice during the season.

Commish,
I'm going to assume that, in the Eliminator Challenge, if all Managers are eliminated before the end of the season then the pot goes to the last man standing. Correct?

Eliminator challenge does sound intriguing and different. I'd prob vote for that.

Also wanna point out that I feel the k kings and hr kings might influence the outcome winner of the league...? I've always felt this way but since it seems we're putting to vote, thought I might mention, with no intent other than seeing if anyone else agrees or serve that it's not the case...
What I mean is that teams may trade for (and/or even draft) players for that sole purpose of winning this side-pot possibly causing a wave of flux in the main purpose of the league.
Just me? Very well could be but we have a blog to ask these concerns.
Peace my baseball friends, mantles

Don't know, Chris. But if a manager is drafting a team for the sole purpose of winning the side pot, I'm perfectly ok with that. Heck, my main goal is to win the league. If another manager wants to make it easier for me by tanking the season to win the side pot, that is one less manager I have to worry about.

Me neither. I do recall however a team keeping and then drafting like 45 more pitchers right off the bat then I looked his bats and shook me head as his bats were,at best, starting at >200 ranked overall ranks and made me wonder about if that mgrs sole goal was for k-king.
Plus it makes for some high alert trades late season where this would more presumably make an impact.
Just thinking out loud.
