Well from my team currently, I'm only seeing 3 keepers, and with the second pick could use it as a strategic move to go after early quick picks to help my team. Not everyone will have 5 keepers and forcing people to keep 2 additional non keepers for the sake of everyone keeping 5 keepers hurts them.

Harvey would probably have the highest price tag of the group - I held onto him all last season with the belief he was worth it waiting on. I'd like multiple early rounders for him

I was just wondering about reducing the minimum.... Also, thanks Rick for pointing out my spelling error from 2009. lol

Remind me again why we require managers MUST keep a minimum of 3 players? Maybe I'm just having a change of heart over the years.... or maybe I'm just looking at my keepers and don't see 3 guys I want to keep. lol I understand the strong feelings about keeping NO MORE than 5, but just wondering how everyone feels about giving you the option to dump more players and take your chances in the draft instead? From what I see in the archived forums here, that decision was made for FLB in (or perhaps prior to) 2009. Every team was required to have exactly 3 keepers at that time. No more, no less. Prior to the 2010 season, I had a team in the NABL league. That league was heading into its second season and I recall there being a lot of support in all 3 leagues for bumping the number of required keepers up to 4 or even 5. And with that, also a lot of support for *allowing* up to 5 keepers, but not requiring every team to keep that many. Then there was a TON of debate around what to do if we bumped the maximum allowed number of keepers up. Should there be a required minimum as well then? If so, how many? It appears we all landed on a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5. I remember we had this discussion the 2nd year of C2C which was all leagues about the keeping of 5 players. Many were upset that we had to keep that many but being a keeper there needed to be a minimum. We decided if we going to be a keeper league we had to vote on a minimum and 3 turned out to be the magical number. I like the option of keeping 5 but not held to it.

Good catch Slama.
