For me, with baseball you have many chances to pick a player up. It does suck on the ones people eye in the minors, but for everyday players, I want to be able to get a guy instantly instead of waiting. Also, if you add in a waiver, and you need a replacement immediately for a player that went on a DL, it could cost you. If I need a guy Saturday, I should be able to pick someone up that Friday to have him, and now wait until the Monday to pick him up. This is crucial with starting pitchers and closers and relievers. Baseball happens so quick, you need to be able to have quick access to the players available. Football is played once a week, and gives you ample time to look and pick what you need. This is why I'm against a waiver in baseball.
