Is everyone's email address up to date? I have contacted people about players that I am interested in and have made trade offers on others to get no response in return. It is very frustrating when trying to initiate trade talks when only 1 person talks. If not interested respond with that. If you like player counteroffer. It goes a long way with open communication amongst us all. I am not calling anyone out just reminding everyone to be courteous in responding. Thanks.

Thanks. i have a feeling that some managers are still reeling from fantasy football and may be a bit early to focus on baseball before Feb. just my thoughts for what it's worth. You could be right but answer back and say not in baseball mode yet.

Joe,
When we declare our keeps, are they going to be published to the league as they come in or after the deadline? I think it should be announced all at once so no one knows who is keeping who until everyone has them turned in. Then if guys want to trade them, so be it. Just my 2 cents.

I am assuming the page will be updated on March 1st or close to. Everyone's team is intact til then. I am pretty sure you will need to declare keepers on board just like last year. Tough for Joe to navigate 60 emails for 3 leagues when they can be contained to each leagues page. Making it a bit easier when setting keepers.

What I did last season was update the draft board as managers declared them. It made it easier to keep it all straight. However, there is no urgency, and I probably recommend everyone take the entire time in case they change their mind about who they want to keep, and or have the option to continue to make trades up to the deadline. The keeper picks will appear in the draft board (first 5 rounds that are currently filled with the placeholder 'keeper' - Commish

OK Joe Couple questions that come to mind.
When we declare keepers we must have 3 going into draft. No ifs, ands or buts right? Example I am giving is just to make sure there is no loop hole in keeper rule. Correct, must keep at least 3 - Commish
I declare only 3 keepers and during the last to weeks up to draft I trade one of my keepers for more draft picks which leaves me with 2 going into draft. No way that can happen right? Correct, you can't dip below 3 - Commish
Next scenario I believe which is ok but want to clarify. I declare 5 keepers and trade 2 away for picks during the last 2 weeks. Legal as long as I keep 3? Good question, but after the Keeper deadline 2/29, Keepers can't be dropped (last year this caused a lot of problems). So you would only be able to trade away your players to another manager who was under the minimum. - Commish
Just want to make things clear as people can interpret things differently.

For example... Team A declares 5 keepers. They then trade 2 of them to Team B, who only declared 3 keepers originally. Both teams meet the min/max rule afterward. Team A declares 5 keepers. They then trade 1 of them to Team B and 1 to Team C, both of which originally declared 4 keepers. All 3 teams meet the min/max rule afterward. These are both legal trade scenarios, correct? Commish Note: Yep, Rick described it perfectly. The thing we are trying to avoid is managers dropping players for more picks. That caused a lot of frustration last year.

Can I suggest not releasing the keeps until the deadline. In other words, all at the same time. It would keep teams from knowing fully what they are planning. I would guess that if a manager is not interested in sharing what his keepers are, he just would wait until the deadline before announcing them. In that case, his plans for keepers are kept to himself until the last minute.
